Can Wd Media Player Play Rmvb Files
Thing holding me back is the fact that it can t play rmvb files, play the converted files using WD TV WDTV Mini Media Player which supports RMVB.

Only the WD Mini support RMVB. You need to convert RMVB files to AVI, MPEG2, to be playable using WD TV.
You can use Mplayer to do the conversion, Just press Ctrl Alt T on your keyboard to open Terminal. When it opens, run the command below.

I recently converted a tv series from rmvb. files to avi files in order to watch them on my WD media player, but for some reason when I copied them onto my hard-drive.
RMVB Codec. You must have the allows you to play RealNetworks audio/video files using Windows Media Player. and RealMedia Splitter can t create RMVB video.
